Our Future Plans
In July 2016, we were awarded the RoW to build, own and operate fiber optic cables on all major highways in Peninsular Malaysia by the Ministry of Works and the Malaysian Highway Authority.
Together with Roland Berger Strategy Consultants, we have developed a five year plan spanning three phases:
Phase 1 – The entire length of Peninsular Malaysia from Thailand to Singapore with added connectivity to Cyberjaya and Nusajaya
Phase 2 – Major highways in the Klang Valley
Phase 3 – Link to the East Coast
We have completed an aerial survey of all the highways in Phase 1 of the project using LIDAR technology.
We aim to begin the first phase of construction in the third quarter of 2017 and are currently in talks with potential technology partners, investors and off takers on future collaborations. Among them are major telecommunications players from the South East Asian region including China as well as local key players.
Our initial goal is provide end to end connectivity from Thailand to Singapore for telecommunications companies, over-the-top (“OTT”) providers and internet service providers (“ISP”) in Thailand and the rest of the Indochina region. In the future, we plan to expand into services such as bandwidth, tower and backhaul.
